Livity (Ghost 202 / Beneath remixes) vinyl

Should you ever find yourself in a conversation about remix projects with a cynical soul, any arguments that they are little more than shameless cash grabbing can be brushed aside with the stellar example set by the Livity Sound label. This year's ongoing series of remix 12"s has been superb so far, with Pangaea, MMM and A Made Up Sound all adding their distinct signature to tracks from the Livity Sound trio of Peverelist, Kowton and Asusu and opening the source material up in interesting and exciting new ways. The standards are more than maintained on this third 12" in the series with UK producer Beneath and the LIES pairing Ghost 202 (Morelli and Svengalisghost) reworking Kowton and Pev respectively. Beneath transforms Kowton's mechanical "Jam01? into something with a little more of organic rhythmic swing similar to his own productions, while Ghost-202 turn Pev's "Livity" into the kind of growling industrial monster of a track that you'd expect from Morelli and the ghost.
