There are few drum and bass producers who can boast quite as deep a discography as Dev Pandya AKA Paradox. 23 years after making his debut, the veteran producer continues to dish up high-grade dancefloor workouts in his inimitable style. Pandya begins his first EP of 2019 with "Decagon", a punchy roller whose crunchy, snare-driven breakbeats, colossal dub bass and delay-laden electronic bleeps recall the early days of British bass music 30 years ago. He heads explores similar sonic territory on flipside "Hakai", a similarly weighty - if a little sweatier - excursion built around elongated sub-bass tones, revivalist jungle drums and echoing toaster chat.
