The second 12" on Yoyaku offshoot YoY comes courtesy of Molly Oshana, a producer whose recent output has been reliably solid. Here, she sets her stall out via fine A-side "Eccentric Electrix", a metallic techno workout that offers a near perfect balance between dancefloor-focused drive, emotion-stirring melodiousness and spacey, head-in-the-clouds bliss. Over on the flip, she ratchets up the sub-bass on the tough-but-wavy "Dream Frequency", where stretched-out, sustained note chords envelop a rock solid techno groove. The dub-influenced sub-bass returns on closer "Concentration", which sounds a little like a 21st century fusion of vintage bleep techno and clanking tech-house.
