Two years on from the release of the digital-only Ordinary Dreams compilation, a colourful and laidback blend of lounge-influenced deep house and downtempo jams, Planet Trip has finally delivered a sequel. If anything, it's even more inspired than its predecessor, with the collected cuts variously offering up off-kilter electronic dub ('Synptoms of Dub' by Symptoms of Love), retro-futurist analogue house (Paula Tape), post-boogie nu-disco cheeriness (Phuk Hu, Jex Opolis), horizontal haziness (Good Block), sub-heavy pitched-down breakbeat (Errortica), post-electro eccentricity (DJ Ray), thickset dancefloor tribalism (Mayurashka) and spaced-out ambient dub (1too). Throughout, the quality threshold remains refreshingly high.
