There's something a little ballsy - arrogant, even - about calling an EP I'm Here Now - The Arrival. It would make some sense if this were Omar-S collaborator OB Ignitt's debut release; actually, he's already impressed with a pair of fine solo EPs for FXHE. Still, we'll excuse him, because the three tracks here are really rather good. "Sweaty Dancce Floor" is typically Detroitian in its fusion of shuffling deep house rhythms, warm chords and futurist synthesizer melodies, though it is distinctly brighter and breezier than much Motor City house. "Ignitt Techno" sounds like a long lost gem from the halcyon days of the Belleville Three, while "Chocolate City (Uncle James Mix)" breathes new life into a Parliament / Funkadelic classic.
