The steady flurry of slim-line goodness from Nu Zau continues unabated with this latest offering on UVAR, which finds the producer embracing dubby processing in amongst the densely packed rhythmic trysts of his tracks. "Fortuit" is a wistful, dreamlike workout that maximizes on elegant sweeps of pad and gurgling found sound decoration for a truly hypnotic end result. On the flipside, "Perpetuum" has a more forthright groove to latch onto, coming over all techy without selling short the hypnotic atmosphere that Nu Zau has made his own. Whatever the case, both cuts will serve any subterranean spinners well in weaving a little spirituality into a set.
