New Jackson - AKA multi-faceted Irish musician David Kitt - was touted as one to watch following his impressive first appearance on Hivern Discs last year. While he's probably not kicked on in 2014, he has struck up a good rapport with Munich's Permanent Vacation label. This second 12" for the imprint is arguably his strongest EP to date. Certainly, the title track is wonderful; a warm, dreamy and lolloping Balearic deep house gem blessed with lilting fiddle and an evocative male spoken word vocal. There's a rougher, more analogue feel to the chugging, synth-heavy "Ok Alone OK" (think Kraftwerk making deep house, and you're close), while "Player Piano" drops the tempo and kneels at the alter of Balearic house
