Need For Mirrors really don't mess around. Hot on the heels of this year's releases on Fokuz, Warm Comms and Symmetry comes their debut on BMTM. The minimal bouncer "Ethos" is all about the paranoid bass tones that rise and rise disturbingly in a way that's more frequently found in an Oliver Huntemann techno track. Vibes are flipped on the B with the jazzier "Self Portrait". With a sharp skip on the drums and trembling keys, it's hard not to listen without comparing it to the classic compositions of late 90s Alex Reece. Comparisons don't get any higher.
