Review

Mr Oizo returns to Ed Banger for another album of warped, twisted, utterly deranged slices of electronica. On the weirdness scale this probably ranks halfway between the legendary Moustache (Half A Scissor) and the more accessible 2008 album Lambs Anger. The usual array of hilarious track titles are there, as expected - "Oral Sax" and "Douche Beat" are our favourites - but more importantly the music itself stands up against the French producer's marvellous back catalogue. Check the mangled funk strut of "Datsun", the schizoid metallics of the aforementioned "Douche Beat" and some truly experimental fare in the shape of "EDN" for confirmation that Oizo retains his title as the wayward genius of the Ed Banger stable. Best of all, this LP version comes with a free CD version of the album and a killer poster!
