Olympia WA's doomed death metal unit Mortiferum have always loved it as dark as they can get it. Their second album Preserved In Torment on Profound Lore Records is another case in point that delves as far as possible into depraved sounds, disgusting sonic world and edgy metal. Frankly, it is a continuation of the Finnish outfit's debut album Disgorged From Psychotic Depths but on an even more grand and wide open scale.
