A meeting of two great Finnish minds here: DUM Records head honcho Kimmo Rapatti aka Mono Junk teams up with Mesak aka Tatu Metsatahti. If he sounds vaguely familiar you're not wrong, you probably know him as one half of electro pranksters Mr Velcro Fastener. Rapatti takes Mesak's lead and delves deep into depth charged Drexciyan style electro here.. and it's fierce! The original mix of "Deep In My Mind" is kick ass 4/4 electro funk that sounds like a modern interpretation of the classic Model 500 sound but it's the aptly titled "Deep In My Electro Mind" which really tells it how it is with sharp and snappy breaks and whirly arpeggios from vintage machines. Finally "SYSdrum" throws down some serious boom and bounce on this fine show of street level ghetto technics.
