The latest artist to debut on FUSE London's tech-house INFUSE offshoot is Michael James, an artist best known for his outings on Constant Black, Hoarder, Mulen and Rowle. A-side "Fat Earth" is particularly strong, with James wrapping drowsy chords and funk-fuelled riffs around a swinging, two-step influenced groove and a suitably sizable bassline. James' two-step influences come further to the fore on the crunchy, forthright and pleasingly sub-heavy "OH Groove", while "Guidance" is the kind of rubbery, quietly glitchy roller that we've come to associate with Paris's YYY outlet and London stalwart East End Dubs.
