Having inaugurated the Sequencias label with a split release featuring Aroy Dee, Specter and Hieroglyphic Being back in 2011, founder JM De Frias returns to the format as the NYC-based imprint reaches SEQ010. This time around Shawn O'Sullivan, Swiss pair Echo 106 and Sequencias regular Nick 'Metropolis' Lapien contribute tracks that collectively form a "manifesto where experimentation, rhythm and reflection are all given equal weight". If you've heard any recent material from Shawn O'Sullivan you'll know he's on somewhat of a roll and the corrugated modular techno of "Corypha" will be a track many DJs pull for, but don't sleep on the other contributions! Lapien goes deep with his ten minute Metropolis opener "Balefire" whilst Echo 106 once again show themselves masters at Utopian house music that feels as if it's tumbling down from the heavens.
