When it comes to hazy, soft-focus deep house, few can beat the fabulously named Melchior Sultana. The Maltese producer is something of an old hand at this kind of thing, with a drowsy, sun-kissed discography that stretches right back to the early 2000s. "Healer", the track that opens his latest outing, is vintage Melchior: all unfussy beats, twinkling Rhodes keys, ocean-deep pads and lazy, hammock-friendly vocals. He subtly doffs a cap to Floating Points' early deep house material via the fluid synthesizer solos, undulating synth-bass and rolling grooves of "Story", before upping the tempo a little on the similarly sunny closer, "Time Can Tell".
