Following up 2016's wonderful Laugh Tool LP on Mannequin, Belgian retrovert Maoupa Mazzocchetti returns with his second full length. In between outings he's appeared on new-wave industrial imprints such as Knekelhuis, Unknown Precept and BANK Records NYC, but this new one for Brittany's Les Disques De La Bretagne (a sublabel of Editions Gravats) sees him explore varied sonic avenues outside his usual speciality. For instance there's the wacky pogo-dance antics of "Looking For Cheese" featuring live improv rock elements, the oddball exotica of "Sultan" or the contorted funk of "Fonk Left The Ytown" through to more of his typical minimal synth sounds as heard on "Ron's Roof" or Y'a Un Petit Probleme".
