All Over Me EP vinyl

Fledgling South London imprint cut an impressive swathe with their debut drop from Visionist last year, and their second release from hotly tipped Puerto Rican producer Magnum maintains the standard. Lead track "All Over Me" emerges from the icy ether, slipping a winning array of tightly wrapped chrome snare rolls, opiated synths and manipulated diva vocals over simmering a bed of sub bass menace - it comes across as the paranoid cousin to Teeth's "Shawty". The scale of epicness there is complemented by the smooth, expertly edited "Dense" which appropriates junglist rhythms to a 23rd century pattern that showcases Magnum's craft for gut pushing bass frequencies. There's a nice stripped down almost grime refix of "Dense" from French Fries too!
