Echoey claps sooth us into Crosstown Rebel's latest offering from Maceo Plex. Plex's Life Index album on Crosstown, released in January, garnered praise from industry heavyweights worldwide. An undeniably smokey and sensual vocal from Maceo himself holds no barriers as it breathes out "girl I love your style" in a sexual and repetitive moan. Rattling shakers rise up over the deliriously deep and gruff bass line as "Your Style" prowls itself into a sultry trip. On the flip, the much lauded star of 2010 Maya Jane Coles remixes an equally dark and low slung deep house version, chugging along with a slightly clickier edge that compliments Maceo's original flawlessly.
