Prada Alin Razvan's material under the name Lumieux has been a wonderful addition to the ever-growing world of minimal techno, and it's yet further testament to the quality of producers that are coming from the eastern end of the European zone. The young artist has even released on Dissonant in the past, so we know to expect a certain degree of quality from his releases, and also to keep our eyes fixed on the Why So Series label from now on. "Hey Raspberry" is a deep, intricate groove with plenty of layers, giving it a gorgeous 3D touch that is exactly the sort of thing we look out for in a minimal tune; on the flip, "Mod E Prier" is more broken and further imbued in a sticky, aqueous sort of groove, whereas "Angel Contact" strips it all down to a heavy kick-snare approach. Heavy gear!
