CLR present another chilling meeting of minds on LX4, as Lucy and Xhin aim their leftfield techno tendencies towards a pair of lean, mean workouts. Unsurprisingly there's an industrial aesthetic at work throughout, but it's smudged and harried by static and vapour where the beats might have once hit hard. The end result is an eyes-half-closed kind of banger, especially with the aid of the subby bassline on "LX5". While the tone may be resolutely monochrome, these two producers know a thing or two about crafting character out of texture alone, and these two tracks are dripping in it.
