LTJ Experience has always been at his best when working at a slower tempo. He's particularly good at crafting slow-burning, sample-based groove epics that rely on hard-worked loops and subtle changes. Happily, that's exactly what he's delivered here. On the A-side you'll find "Beggar Groove", a wonderfully bass-heavy affair that peppers a languid, bongo-laden groove with swamp funk style harmonica and whispered vocal samples. He's back in head-nodding disco territory on the flip, serving up a low-slung groover that subtly doffs a cap to The Revenge's Instruments of Rapture-era output. In other words, he's back to his best.
