Glaswegian imprint Numbers returns with one of their all time favourites in the form of Roman techno legend Lory D. Chief engineer of the 'Sound Of Rome' alongside fellow cohorts Leo Anibaldi and the inimitable Donato Dozzy: who he played a rare back to back set with at 2016's Berlin Atonal. From being the first ever guests at one of their first parties back in the day, to this release: the fifth edition in his know renowned Strange Days series of EPs. The elusive and mysterious figure (and Sounds Never Seen boss) starts off with the restrained and stripped back techno tool "Deep Acoustic" which is the kind of well executed groove that proves less is more. There's then the typical energy flash of the Italian on the mentalist groove of "Acid CLX22". On the flip, more warped and jacking techno shenanigans continue on the crazy "Mg Comp Strngd" while the deep and hypnotic cyclicality of "Suoneria" with its mesmerising and trance inducing melody proves once again that, indeed: Italians do it better.
