Neil McDonald's Lord Of The Isles project has gained huge momentum ever since his first outing on Adult Contemporary back in 2011, and the producer has landed on every label from Firecracker's lovely off-shoot Unthank, to Mule Musiq, and even Phonica. This time McDonald returns to Permanent Vacation with four special house nuggets, starting with the deep and wonky "Clearness Of Love", followed by the grizzlier low-tones and jagged beats of "Dyfm". On the B side, "Bodyswerve" is a slower and more majestic animal, while "All I Need" turns to a bit of ambient to let those house beats roll into the ether. Lovely stuff, as always.
