Vancouver's Laura Sparrow was one of 2017's revelations in terms of new and interesting dance artists with a penchant for electro, so it's no wonder that she's featured so heavily across Sotofett's own Wania imprint. She's stepping up on her on now, though, killing it track by track with the debut of her self-titled LNS imprint. Recons One is a magnificently executed EP that spans the entire electro lifecycle, from the dreary, nostalgic waves of "Recons One" itself, to the more synth-led soundscapes of "Wasp", remixed in full ambient glory by Sotofett himself under the excellent E-GZR moniker, and the liquid-like deluge of additive rhythms on "Field Of View". "July Rain" is another sublime electro stomper, while "Eons" ties the whole release together with a pensive, otherworldly cascade of synths and distant pads. Lovely stuff.
