Atomnation snaps up Lex Ludlow for a debut Ep that showcases the Sri Lanka-born but Sweden-raised artist's woozy, synth-laden and late-night house sounds. It is a cohesive and stylish EP with jostling electro-tinged house grooves like 'Marble Arch' next to the boom-bap beats of 'Midnight' which are deeply emotive thanks to the nagging vocal samples. 'Sailors Lullaby' casts us adrift on an open sea with silky rhythmic ripples and 'Sunday Morning' closes with a more upbeat groove but still plenty of gorgeous, soft-focus melodies and heartwarming chords.
