This latest releases from Dutch label Field signals a change in direction away from the 12" focus of their prior output to present the first in a series of artist led album projects. And what an album to launch with! I Look Upon Nature While I Live In A Steel City is a quite startling album from Voodoo Down man L'Estasi Dell'oro which truly lives up to it's grandiose title and the label's description as an "expressive and expansive modern techno album". The eight tracks feel very much like a cohesive body of work as well as individually providing moments that DJs will view with bug eyed glee when wondering how they sound on the dancefloor. The jet fuelled "Bit Back Straight Spine" is possibly the most startling example of that!
