For the first installment in the Vision Inc's LillyGood Party series, label founder Alex Attias (previously of Compost Records fame) returns from artistic exile to deliver two re-edits of forgotten gems. On the A-side, he takes his scalpel to Leroy Hutson's "Get To This (You'll Get To Me)", a 1978 chunk of glassy-eyed sweetness that sits somewhere between laidback disco and horn-heavy jazz-funk. Attias' version is fairly reverential, offering a club-friendly version created by extending key passages. There's more jazz-funk flavour on the flip, where Michael Gregory Jackson's 1979 cut "Risin' Up" - all ear catching clarinet motifs, bold pianos and fusion grooves - is stretched out in all the right places.
