It's nice to be hearing new more new material by Belgian minimal house expert Lawrence Le Doux, who resurfaced after a two year hiatus last year on Kalahari Oyster Cult. In what was one of this week's most welcomed releases, the Vlek records staple brings you his latest one courtesy of Rotterdam's Nous'klaer Audio titled Compassion Lake. The title track's lush ambience sets the tone for a series of chilled-out and introspective grooves, as heard on the smooth broken beat acid of 'Alta' or the clipped jitter-funk of '1010' on the flip, followed by the sombre afterhours dancefloor reflections of 'Tout.
