Following fine EPs from T. Jacques and Armless Kid, Tessellate's third single of 2020 comes courtesy of London-based Kylin Tyce. While the producer's previous EP for Oldivibes, January 2019's "Conscience", delivered warm and drowsy tech-house goodness, his latest EP explores the hybrid UK garage/tech-house style that's currently all the rage. Opener "Do Your Thing" is a sexy and seductive slab of bouncy two-step blessed with seriously weighty sub-bass, while "Further South" fixes classic garage organ stabs, dreamy deep house chords and tasty saxophone motifs to a lolloping house groove. Tyce explores the Todd Edwards school of late '90s speed garage on brilliant flipside opener "Thinkin'", before the "Perception Mix" re-casts the same track as a hot-stepping slab of tooled-up two-step.
