Black Wave Tapes Vol 2 vinyl

Well, the Hit + Run imprint couldn't have exactly reissued Volume 1 of Kutmah's Black Wave Tapes without also dropping Volume 2 onto vinyl! With releases on everything from Clone to London's Sounds Of The Universe and even the mighty Technicolour label, McNulty has really grown as an artist over the last four years. This Black Wave Tapes series has been monumental in defining his most recent artistic shift, and although his sound wonders from genre to genre, these two volumes of music have arguably been his most important work to date. Once again, Kutmah's mashup of hip-hop, ambient and techno is both singular and extremely seductive. We particularly dig the wavy melodies and loose beats of "06" and "20", two tracks which are enough to establish Kutmah as one of the most exciting modern talents in beat-making. Recommended.
