"Metropole" is immediately gratifying, an energising flux of vintage Detroit chords rising and falling in unison with the thumping and obligingly loud kick drum. It's pure peak time sleaze complemented by the analgesic hypnosis that washes over your senses when the flipside track "The Long Wait" unfurls in all its glory. A much rawer beat is doused in increasingly psychedelic circles of concentric melodies that twist with lysergic energy whilst the most devilish of acid basslines throbs beneath. The arsenal of superlatives to describe Rush Hour is rapidly depleting.
