Many a record has been endowed the name "Killa Sound", but none may be quite so killer, so piercing, as this new dubstep one from the anonymous plate-pusher. Filling floors with fricative basses and buzzy overtones on 10", this one moves heavy on repressive atmospheres: A-sider 'Police Skank' conjures all sorts of connotations re the abuse of power, sinister miscarriages of justice; bassweight connoted with riot-gear-clad police omnipresence. 'For The Massive' contrasts as a ruminative people's tune, set against tricksy, background halfstep breaks design: "live and direct for the massive!"
