After offering up a quartet of double-pack samplers featuring alternate mixes and instrumental takes, Kerri Chandler has finally delivered the full, triple-vinyl edition of his fantastic new album, Spaces & Places. Little less than a love letter to venues and the soundsystems that sit in them, Chandler recorded the tracks on location in different clubs, using the rooms (and his memories of performing there) as inspiration. The results are uniformly brilliant, with the New Jersey veteran delivering a mixture of classic deep house, soulful flavours, big room workouts, sub-heavy stompers and piano-laden future anthems variously inspired by clubs as diverse as Sub Club, Printworks, Watergate, Barbarellas, Sir Henry's, Rex, Ministry of Sound and the Knockdown Center.
