* Repress * Jared Wilson's 7777 label tends to release roughly one record a year and invariably each one has been worth the attention of anyone with an ongoing interest in the more mind bending end of the acid spectrum. Predominantly an outlet for the producer's own work, 7777 has latterly began to embrace the work of others and snaring a triplet of cuts from Skudge founder Elias Landberg under his Kel alias is quite the coup. Lead track "Phyta" is futuristic, sci fi indebted acid techno at it's best with the lysergic modulations pitched perfectly amidst a tumbling groove, snapping percussion and rusted chords that tend to float in the ether. "Air Walk" is a combustile mass of rumbling bass, soaring keys and crunched up drum sounds that you'd easily mistake for a Specter production, whilst B Side track "Chiral" finds Landberg deftly crafting one throbbing groove.
