With a staggering amount of releases in a very short time, Kastil is busting onto the European deep house scene with a clear intent and an unfussy approach to hammering out his wares. This latest 12" for Savor hits upon a particularly late night mood, using soothing and sombre synths to create a perfect kind of hypnosis through which to channel his drums. Laconic beats abound on "Paradise", while "17th Street" is marginally more forthright in its outlook. Franco Cinelli brings a little more energy to his remix of the latter, but still keeps it strung out and spooky.
