|2.||"Movement" (Kaidi Tatham remix) (6:03)|
12 Senses has been described by Kaidi Tatham as a, "love project". It grew organically out of the West London legend's now annual appearances at the Copenhagen jazz festival alongside friend Peter Stenbaek and some of Denmark's most talented jazz musicians. Here he's gathered the clan for a debut EP rippling with rich musicality and sun-kissed positivity. Opener "Touch" brilliantly joins the dots between warm and loved-up jazz-funk and Tatham's broken beat roots, while life is a bolder and more spacey take on early '80s jazz-funk that sounds like Bugz In The Attic covering classic Herbie Hancock. Turn to the flipside for the slow, fluid and leisurely vibes of "Movement", which is then given a jazz-funk-fired instrumental hip-hop revision by Tatham himself.
