Hamburg meets Frankfurt on the latest 12" from Live At Robert Johnson! Smallville founder Julius Steinhoff is rarely seen alone on a record, preferring to concentrate on Smallpeople, the collaborative project shared with Dionne that surfaced on Running Back earlier this year after scoring their well received debut LP Salty Days. Regardless, given Steinhoff's production calibre, he's perfectly suited to gracing Live At Robert Johnson, with the three track You Collect Secrets a worthy addition to the Frankfurt label's canon. From the moment the title track hits it's stride to the point where the B Side run-out groove is reached on "Cloud Song" you are placed at the warm, inviting end of the deep house scale and evoking the kind of mood that makes you wish you were experiencing them in the seminal club from which the label grew.
