Russian producer Julia Govor has really hit her stride in the last few years and has established herself as a versatile DJ; veering from post Prologue/Zooloft hypnotic techno sounds, to deep minimal house that has seen her release previously on the likes of Hypertone, Body Parts and Pan Pot's Second State. Govor effectively bridges the gap between both styles on this fine EP for Barcelona based Rhythm Cult run, by Brit Paul Lorraine. "United" nails down pat all the cavernous/atmospheric techno aesthetics, creating some proper tunnel vision in the process. "Morse Code" has all the droney and trance inducing elements of the previous offering, but uses a simple house style rhythm pattern with sombre piano lines for a great contrast. On the flip, the tongue twister "Parallelepiped" is certainly not as contorted musically; on the contrary, it is a straightforward DJ tool with more woozy, sonar, reverb drenched attitude: all geared for tripping out completely.
