A couple of weeks back Jeroen Search impressed with "Monism", an impressive debut album ten years in the making. Here he changes track, joining forces with fast-rising Russian producer Julia Govor on a four-track missive for Mattia Trani's Pushmaster Discs label. The pair hit the spot straight away via "You Are The Machine", a loopy techno roller blessed with booming bass, restless cymbal hits and decidedly psychedelic electronics, before dipping the tempo on the sturdy but springy peak-time hypnotism of "Research Not Over". "Watching You Once" sees them pepper a functional techno groove with mind-altering bleep melodies, while 'Watching You Again" delivers an altogether sparser, creepier take on the same basic blueprint, with trippy, mangled melodies and delay-laden vocal snippets riding a locked-in groove.
