Argentine producer Jonas Kopp will be known to most for his throbbing, Millsian take on techno, but here he appears on the Zenker Brothers' Ilian Tape label with two ambient originals. "55 Dias" is characterised by its mournful chords and subtly undulated hiss, while the decaying drift of "El Alba, Vos Y Yo" recalls William Basinski's Disintegration Loops. Given the lack of beats on the A-side, the Zenker Brothers have hit up Livity Sound man Kowton to provide a remix for the flip, taking on "55 Dias" in his unmistakable style. For those used to his grime-influenced strings the deep ambience will come as a shock, but there's more than enough rusty percussion to demolish and dancefloor here.
