Unlike its predecessors, which in turn showcased techno and electro jams, the third and final volume in EPM Music's 20th anniversary series of EPs looks to house music for inspiration. Of course, you'll find plenty of nods towards techno on show throughout, from the fuzz-soaked riffs and broken computer motifs of Eddie Fowlkes' hypnotic opener '1-2-3', to the fizzing, alien-sounding electronics and mind-mangling riffs of Rico & Sonny's rolling 'The Beat'. There's also an underwater-but-outer-space feel to Jon Dixon's pleasingly wonky 'Mack & Bewick', while DJ 3000's 'Summer 1995' is a gloriously retro-futurist slab of spacey house futurism full of warm analogue bass, sparkling chords and hands-in-the-air piano stabs.
