The news of an impending fourth album shaped opus from Tigersushi overseer Joakim should elicit shrieks of excitement from all - not least because of the ingenuity and innovation demonstrated on each of his albums to date. A taste of what to expect arrives via the bittersweet bump of "Forever Young", a track characterised by both Joakim's unique production touch (sounding vaguely like a Gallicised variant on the arpeggiated bliss of Moroder) and the lyrical subject matter: arriving at that horrid stage of your life between the invincible 20s and the 'boring' 40s. It's entirely possible to ignore the subject matter and dance the night away to the music, but it's this extra layer of thought that separates Joakim from the dross. Alongside an extended afro edit from the man himself there are further remixes from Discodeine and Tigersushi padawan Dye - the former full of fidgety analogue goodness and the latter a fuzzed out glitched up electronic oddysey which is indicative of the sort of music to expect on his soon to be released debut album.
