Contrary to the title of the release and Jerome Derradji's Chicago house concerns as the label head of Still Music, this latest offering from the wax impresario is a devoutly technoid affair characterised by one-take thrusts of analogue simplicity. "Getloose" almost lifts of the ground with its upwards tilting hats and energising synth lines, rising and falling in fluid motions but never stopping to let you catch your breath. "Raw Bump" meanwhile has a real bludgeoning quality to the bass-rich synth notes, and the unforgiving thump of an overdriven kick only adds to the feeling of being pinned down by an unshakeable force. Domination never felt so sweet.
