Sonar Kollektiv whet appetites for the forthcoming and rather deluxe looking Jazzanova remix compilation entitled Upside Down with the first of two consecutively released twelve inch samplers. Perhaps cottoning on to the recent trend for luxuriously packaged twelve inches, Sonar Kollektiv go all-out in the design stakes with the artwork spreading to incorporate the PVC outer sleeves. The handsome nature of the record is matched by the music held within as Alex Barck and Dima Studitsky both shine. The former tackles the Jose James featuring "Little Bird", embellishing it with new found peak time potential, whilst the latter may be an unfamiliar name but excels in reimaging "I Can See". The track, which features another highly lauded voice in Ben Westbeech, gets turned into a throbbing mass of soaring deep house brilliance by the Moscow scene stalwart.
