Review

Given that the label has been active for the best part of five years, we were rather surprised to find that this is only the 10th release on Banoffee Pies - a fact that can be attributed to the volume of releases on the Bristol-based imprint's various prolific offshoots. "Move Tools" is something of an unassuming gem though: a four-track skip through club-ready UK bass music fusions with a heavy emphasis on UK garage. Opener "Maybe" is a deep, smooth and sultry two-step roller, while "Move" is an altogether sleazier and sweatier bounce through UK funky territory. Over on side B you'll find another pair of retro-futurist two-step workouts, with the breezy "That's All Folks" being our pick of the pair.
