Nice to see some material from Multi Culti on vinyl this week. The Montreal-based label's brand of off-kilter nu-disco strains are once again on fine display on the first edition of Multi Culti Solstice. Mexican producer Inigo Vontier (Duro) collaborates with Russian duo Simple Symmetry to kick off the first side with the deep, late-night groove of 'Hocus Pocus', followed by the always impressive Ponty Mython with the dusty and blunted junkyard beats of 'Pinto La Meah'. Over on the flip, Hermetics & Hannah Lee get into some seriously low slung oddball business on 'Lux Naturae' and Magic Pirate takes you to a higher state with the meditative rhythms of 'Make Me A Jazz Coffee'.
