UK techno legend Inigo Kennedy returns for Belgian imprint Token, a label he has become synonymous with in recent years with several releases including his well received Vaudeville LP in 2014. On the A side, "Surrender" begins with a sombre ambient intro, but later on the relentless and pounding groove cyclicality comes into the fold. On the flip, "Castles In The Air" follows a similar formula, where a spellbinding and hypnotic arrangement of warm pads and soothing synth leads soon give way to body bashing beats and sinister futurist aesthetics. Unlike the vast majority of current producers, Kennedy swears by software production methods and you can certainly hear the unique effects it has on its trademark sound. More fantastic work from a veteran producer.
