Icelandic producer Olafur Breidfjord has enjoyed a stop-start career as Ilo, delivering a well-regarded debut album in 2001 before disappearing from view for 15 years. Happily, he's been on fire since returning to action in 2016 and here follows up fine outings on Rebirth and Foto with a fresh EP for Lagaffe Tales. A-side "Take You To Love" is something of an epic, with Breidfjord working a deliciously deep and woozy, sub-bass heavy groove for six minutes before beefing up the beats, throwing his hands in the air and dancing maniacally towards a breathless climax. Astonishingly, flipside "Miracles" is even longer, with the talented Icelander stretching out a fluttering, dreamy, string-drenched deep house workout over 14 mesmerizing minutes.
