Berlin's Zhark Recordings has been going strong since 1996 thanks to releases by Kareem and Hecate - two masters in the school of twisted, junked-up and break-ridden techno - and Huren has continued that fine tradition in recent years with a large number of releases for the imprint. "MRTVI" is a distortion-fuelled 4/4 beast with a rather hefty set of kicks and snares; something which can also be said about "Nuklearni", another vicious techno workout. Over on the B-side, "Sentinonaut" enters total oblivion thanks to its percolating groove, while "Tikto Reconfig" takes a pounding kick and spins it around hypnotic, stripped-down melodies for dancefloor destruction. Veritable weapons.
