Having become something of a figurehead in the field of experimental dance music, Holly Herndon follows up the widespread acclaim of her Movement LP with a new single for RVNG Intl. "Chorus" sees her delving into a wealth of cut up vocals triggered over a bombastic electro blueprint, wild and bold in its detail and jagged arrangement, and yet imminently catchy at the same time. "Solo Voice" is more obtuse, appropriating a futuristic abstraction of dub as spoken with the production values you might find on a Mark Fell record, as heavily processed voice and the like pop and wobble around a rhythm-less landscape. Wonderful embossed sleeve design too!
