Liam B and Yanis KDJ's Piff Records imprint has never been prolific, with the deep house duo rightly focusing on quality rather than quantity. It's a refreshing approach that's so far delivered two tasty 12" singles in as many years. Here the duo welcomes Cardiff-based studio buff Harrison BDP to the label for the first time. The vibe is dreamy, spacey and ultra-deep, but also formidably floor-friendly. We're particularly enjoying the liquid synths, grandiose Motor City chords and on-point rhythmic shuffle of "Finality", where high register acid lines gently bubble to the surface, and the warm, locked-in dancefloor hypnotism of peak-time roller "Confusion of Sound". That said, both "The Flow" and the more energetic "Kosmos 1680" are equally impressive.
